Job Description

The Installer is responsible for accuracy of technical data collection and installation of product on site. He/she needs to have a strong logical mindset, strong understanding of basic calculations and numbers and be committed to providing quality product right the first time. The Installer is the final interaction with the customer and must be committed delivering high customer satisfaction. An ideal candidate will manage the installation of blinds with five-star service. Project sizes vary from small to large – penthouse homes, five-star hotels, high-end offices.

On-Site Data Collection

  • Coordinate with the Technical/Engineering and Production Department to verify the building and electrical structure meets the requirements for successful installation, per location requested by customer
    • For example, if customer wants automated blinds, size 3M x 5M. Installation Agent will need to work with engineer to study drawings and survey project site to verify the site is suitable for the customer request
  • Support Technical/Engineering and Production on all tasks required to effectively spec and quote a project 
  • Propose solutions for anticipated challenges on site, to ensure an efficient, safe and successful installation

Product Installation 

  • Ensure all preparation for blind installation is accurate for first time success, this includes but not limited to: 
    • Verify site measurements and mark locations for brackets (prior to job)
    • Understand the requirements to successfully drill bracket holes in cement, plaster, wood or other building materials (prior to job) 
    • Ensure all tooling and equipment are organized, well kept, and available for job 
    • Practice all protocols for maximum safety 
  • Engage with customers as Customer Service Agent with five-star service. Provide guidance and support on usage upon completion of installation. 
  • Propose changes to continuously improve the installation process, achieving maximum efficiency, safety and success  
  • Keep all equipment and tools operating in good condition and in organized storage – by following operating instructions and calling for repairs
  • Highschool degree or higher, basic understanding of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or similar 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment; 
    • Wood Assembly Manufacturing Experience preferred 
    • Experience in large manufacturing/construction environment of 500 employees or more, with high speed production run rates 
    • Strong logical mindset, with basic understanding of engineering concepts and mathematical calculations required for installation

Job Description

The QA/QC specialist is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to ensure final product meets company’s specifications and standards. She/he is critical in resolving quality issues and leading corrective and preventative action in manufacturing process. The successful candidate understands advanced quality management systems such as 5S and Kaizen, strictly follows protocols and procedures; and possessing strong problem-solving skills.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

    • Lead incoming material inspection, company quality policy, conducting quality tests when necessary
    • Conduct in process QC (IPQC) during production, to find early detection of non-conforming product and ensure lots pass to next stage of production, within ISO compliance
    • Ensure data and reports are accurately managed per SOP (incoming, in process, outgoing and final inspection reports; rejection rates, dppm, FIC, etc.) 
    • Keep quality measurement equipment and tools operating in good condition and in organized storage – by following operating instructions and calling for repairs

Sample and Specification Management

Job Description

Key role of the Quality Manager is to provide planning, development implementation and oversight of the quality management system in the organization. Resolving quality issues and leading corrective and preventative action on manufactured product. The QA/QC manager is to develop improved quality measures and to train QA/QC staff to work efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate must have a strong background in wood manufacturing and experience managing at 50 workers. Must be proactive and have the ability demonstrate quick decision-making skills as well as output calculations.

The Quality Manager is responsible for all quality functions. These include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Quality Assurance in Wood Milling and Finishing

    • Meet quality targets and ensure that product meets company specifications as well establish SOPs to ensure smooth quality management flow.
    • Manage the QA practice to ensure that all QA standards, deliverables and services are executed on schedule and meet enterprise defined quality standards
    • Manage QA auditing, verification, metrics, execution; ensure compliance to standards and processes are at meeting specifications 
    • Establish quality training programs for all factory workers, increasing their knowledge of good/no good products and the correct method for rework.
    • Thoroughly understand the capacities of all machines and how to maintain long operating life.
    • Ensure data and reports are accurately managed (incoming, in process, outgoing and final inspection reports; rejection rates, dppm, FIC, etc.) 
    • Improve the quality management system for quicker detection of defects and quicker corrective action follow up
    • Conduct required testing on product sampled from the factory line.

Job Description

The Technical Manager is an important role overseeing the development, production and delivery of product to the customer. Ensuring product flow from receipt of orders to delivery to customer is efficient, professional and high quality. Technical Manager will be key in establishing the processes and protocol of many aspects of the operations in a Start Up Environment. The successful candidate will be resourceful, creative, and disciplined to establish SOPs that will lead to good decisions, excellent quality and high-class service. 

The responsibilities of a Technical manager include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Operations

    • Oversee the development, production and delivery of product to the customer. Ensuring product flow from receipt of orders to delivery to customer is efficient, professional and high quality
    • Develop SMART SOPs for technical, production and installation department, ensuring high yield, throughput and increased quality 
    • Manage MRP and other data management software, continuously improving for increased efficiency 
    • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects throughout all production, technical and installation processes

Technical

    • Champion New Product Development – ensuring product complements the Company’s growth strategy and production capabilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Establishing product specifications, testing standards and related training material
    • Collaborate with production, quality, BI and other departments to verify production capabilities, developing new processes and related SOPs if needed
    • Research opportunities to apply technology to enhance any aspect of the product and production process

Lead technical support for sales – including but not limited to the following:

    • Manage each project, ensuring production, delivery and installation is on time 
    • Assessing customer’s request and verifying capability/proposing better alternatives 
    • Establish preventative measures so quality issues to not arise during life cycle 
    • Prepare technical proposal packet for client projects and approval

Manage the installation team, ensuring technical knowledge is strong and installation experience for customer is 5-star service level.

    • Train team to operate with lean principles, one-time installation in the quickest amount of time, without return for repair 
    • Develop 5-star installation experience for customer, incorporating technology for quick service

Maintain deep understanding and knowledge of all products offered – Wood Blinds, Fabric Blinds and Motorized Blinds — and lead product training for all team members

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or similar. 
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment; with at least 5 years of project management experience, with emphasis on the following:
    • Experience in managing large teams
    • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen and 5S 
    • Knowledge in construction, blinds industry, IT programming, new technologies or smart home systems is preferred

Must be proactive and have the ability demonstrate quick decision-making skills as well as output calculations.

The Production Manager is responsible for all production functions. These include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Production

    • Meet production targets with high quality product, ensuring high on-time delivery
    • Increase operational efficiencies with respect to throughput, labor, lower machine down time
    • Increase raw material yield, minimizing waste below 10% and eliminating rework 
    • Improve quality management systems, ensuring defect rate is below 1% 
    • Establish SOPs to ensure smooth operational flow
    • Continuously increase throughout capacity and lead engineering initiatives to increase machine operating life

Additionally, this position is key to developing the new business arms from zero, and will wear many hats. This includes establishing processes across multiple departments to support the new business, collaborating with HR for talent search and development, and cooperating with each business unit to understand each product offering and executing content development and strategy for successful marketing campaigns. 

The successful candidate must have a strong background in social media marketing, content design and marketing strategies. Must be organized, knowledgeable in the newest technologies and tools for social media marketing and must be able to have strong data driven and logical reasoning to understand all business needs of the Lavelle Living group. The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is responsible for setting up and overseeing the social media management of the Lavelle Living brand. These include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Organization and Development of Marketing Content 

    • Set up the organization, storage and maintenance of all media assets, including brand guidelines, logos, fonts, photographs, images, etc. 
    • Develop and design media assets as well as social media content across all Lavelle Living brands including social media posts, website, etc.  
    • Develop SOPs for content development and postings, continuously identify improvements to strengthen brand recognition  
    • Manage content library of all media assets

 

Execution and Analysis of Marketing Strategy 

    • Collaborate with key members of each business unit to develop marketing strategy for each target audience 
    • Manage content calendar for all platforms, and lead marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness  
    • Analyze and track key metrics across all platforms to identify opportunities for increased customer engagement and brand relevance 
    • Identify key trends in data analytics to drive more engagement and brand recognition 
    • Stay updated on new social media knowledge and tools, Google search algorithms, etc.

 

Lavelle Brand Launch – Applicable to all Business Units

    • Collaborate with Leadership to develop strategy of the brand launch, which includes but not limited to sample book design, sales tool kit, and other material required for launch. 
    • Coordinate with sales team the customer experience flow, create SOPs and policies and lead training of new sales team members in accordance 
    • Establish relationships with potential customers and influencers and curate calendar of events to host them
    • Organize Lavelle Living events to promote the brand and overall lifestyle concept 

 

Support HR Department

    • Support HR in recruiting talent for key roles 
    • Support in the development of KPIs for all departments 
    • Collaborate with HR Department in development of training programs and other initiatives to strengthen corporate culture
  •  5+ years experience in social media marketing, customer service/sales, for lifestyle concepts and industries such as restaurants, events, home decor with skills in the following areas:
